Congratulations to Bloomfield Hills: City of the Week with WCSX! Bloomfield Hills has a lot going on even in the winter.  Bower School Farms offers many winter-themed activities including ice skating and glow-tubing! The glow-tubing at Bowers School Farms is a standout.  Snow or NO snow, you can still tube at Bowers School Farms.  The tubing generally sells out.  Don't just show up. Schoolfarm.org will allow you to buy the tickets and sign the waiver. We've been out for tubing before.  Bowers does a great job of not over-selling the time slots for glow-tubing. Things move along nicely and by the time your time slot is over... trust me. You're ready for the break.

Cranbrook Institute of Science

Joel visited Cranbrook's Institute of Science. This place looks amazing! From the history of our planet to everything out of this world, you can see it for yourself at Cranbrook. They have many permanent exhibits as well as temporary ones.  Right now, Cranbrook is hosting "Galileo." From science.cranbrook.edu, "The Galileo special exhibition is a hands-on, interactive exhibition engaging visitors by revealing the secrets of Galileo’s groundbreaking science through interactive experiments and exhibits." It's going on now through June 2nd, 2024.  I also love that Cranbrook offers very family-friendly deals like $5 Fridays after 5 and Free Third Thursday (sponsors cover the admissions on that day).

Talk about classic rock! Cranbrook is home to Michigan's oldest rock. It's more than 3.5 billion years old.

Did you know that Samurai armor was the inspiration of Darth Vader's Star Wars costume? There is a great suit of Japanese armor on display at Cranbrook Institute of Science.
