  • Where is Smith's Creek?

    Smith’s Creek is about 9 miles South West of Port Huron.

  • Who came first?

    Both the creek and the community were named after Elisha Smith, one of the first settlers in the area.

  • Grand Funk?

    The Grand Trunk Railroad built a station in Smith’s Creek in 1865.  The original station was moved and is currently on display at Greenfield Village at The Henry Ford Museum.

  • The Legend of Smith's Creek!

    The local legend in Smith’s Creek is that is where young Thomas Edison got kicked of the train for experimenting with nitroglycerin!
