Detroit Autorama 2022 at Cobo!
WHEW! Three amazing days of cars, entertainment, food and so much more! The Detroit Autorama 2022 was at Cobo Hall/TCF Center this last weekend from March 4th through the 6th. You came out and checked out all the amazing cars, right? If you didn't you missed so many amazing vehicles! WCSX was there in full force along with our talented Big Jim, Ryan Logan, Donielle Flynn, Dave Dahmer and Bill McCallister! If you stopped by our booth you also got treated to the amazing work of Steve Galli, Detroit rock photographer! Wait, there's more! We had the frame of phase one of the Stone Soup Bronco on display and the incredible volunteers of the Vets Returning Home was selling raffle tickets to win this soon to be beautiful Bronco. All proceeds from the raffle went to the Vets Returning Home.
There were hundreds of cars with rich histories on display from wall to wall. From Corvettes to rat rods. Cars that looked like they were from space to cars that looked like rusted-out jalopies. There was a downstairs that turned the world into a Rockabilly dream come true. With rusted rat rods, pinups, rusted beach cars and so many cool styles. Did you catch the pinup contest? Beautiful ladies take us back in time with gorgeous outfits and styles.
We met so many amazing fans, listeners and great people. We met Camp Freedom who were also auctioning off a vehicle for their charity and had their "Horny Mike" taking great photo ops with everyone. People that cars are more than a hobby or a passion but their life.
It was an overall exceptional three days with everyone having a great time. We will see of you again next year for AUTORAMA 2023!
All these great photos are courtesy of the WCSX promotions crew!

If I had a car like this I would be terrified to draw or paint on it, but this is beautiful work.

Which street would you live on?

I feel like something happened right before this photo...but what???

These listeners graciously purchased tickets for the Stone Soup Bronco. The frame of the first phase is right behind them.

Awesome Detroit Photographer Steve Galli was there with all his amazing photos and prints.

Steve Galli was giving away a free print to anyone who purchased ten raffle tickets to the Stone Soup Bronco. This wonderful listener did just that!

The actual engine that will be going into the Stone Soup Bronco. Provided by Livernois Motorsports & Engineering.

These listeners love their classic rock as much as they do cars and tubby submarines sandwiches.

Michael, I really don't appreciate you parking your toddler's three wheeler next to me...Michael....Michael!

Sure you can have a shirt!

If Sexy Car could be combined into one word and be put into the dictionary, this would be the picture next to it.

How about a shirt to go with your cool tunes?

AUTOBOTS ASSEMBLE! The amazing Donielle Flynn hangs out with Bumblebee!

Judge Jacky and a listener chill by the Rock n' Ride.

Every vehicle here has an amazing story!

Doni checks out some cool old toys at Toyarama nestled within Autorama

This gorgeous young lady was contestant number one in the Pinup Contest that was being ran in the basement of Autorama.

And what's a Pinup without her beautiful and supportive family.

A few more of the contestants in the Pinup Contest and our own beautiful Pinup, Celeste.

The wait here to get a pretzel is not that bad.

A cherry red beauty!

YOU ALL WANT TO WASH AND WAX THE ROCK N' RIDE??

That rag is the perfect shimmy for shining that Rock n' Ride....

Thanks for taking a moment to hang with us fellas!

Yes...we did put a Hemi into it....

These two are ready to get some tickets for the Stone Soup Bronco Raffle!

Dahmer doing what he does best, being cool. "Your hair is beautiful and all your friends are jealous of you" something along those lines....

Look at that green! It's like ice cream on wheels!

Horny Mike and Judge Jacky GET WILD! Mike was there helping out Camp Freedom with their charity.

The Munsters ride!

Okay, okay, I'll change my oil every 3000 miles! I swear!

Ed Roth's Rat Fink was on full display at Autorama. They even had their own booth with cool Ed merch.

I am not sure if this is a milk truck or something else entirely.

Downstairs at Autorama is a different world. A world of rust, Rat-Rods, surf boards, Rockabilly and Pinups. All my favorite things!

It'll be another hour, just take a seat in the lobby.

So much chrome! MUST BE THE FUTURE!

My absolute favorite thing at Autorama is the vehicles that are just a bit out of the norm of things you would never expect to see. Where's George Jetson?

A cherry ride for blasting some WCSX in.

A couple of free gift certificates for a photo is not a bad deal right?

Something about this layout screams AUTORAMA to me.
