It wasn't that long ago that world-renowned Ground Hog Punxsutawney Phil didn't see his shadow and proclaimed to all that early spring would dawn. With that in mind, we can count on two things here in Michigan: warmer temperatures and golfers ready to hit the links for another season of tee times on one of the more than 800 courses that stretch across the mitten state.

The Michigan Golf Show boasts itself as the largest consumer golf show in the country. Over 200,000 square feet of space fills the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan, where over 50,000 people attend the three-day event.

The WCSX promo team and Big Jim's Morning Show co-host Ryan Logan witnessed firsthand that the golf show takes more than a day to take in. The golf show has something for everyone to enjoy. It doesn't matter if you've been playing in a league for decades or, perhaps you're looking to get into the heralded sport and hobby for the first time this year.

A special thanks to the staff at the Suburban Collection Showplace, the Michigan Golf Show, Craig Bender, and the Garland Lodge & Golf Resort, who all allowed WCSX to participate in the activities.

The WCSX promo team and Big Jim's morning show co-host Ryan Logan arrived out of the rough and onto the green with plenty of giveaways and MC duties for the Hole in One challange.

One of the highlights of the Michigan Golf Show was that of the Garland Lodge & Golf Resort Par 3 $25,000 Hole in One Contest. Any golfer there was only one swing away from being crowned a champion.

As many golfers lined up and looked on to sink their shot, and gather strategy, the Master of Ceremonies himself WCSX's Ryan Logan tried his best to give helpful tips or just the occasional humorous grief when a ball took a mulligan or sliced just a bit off the fairways.

One lucky golfer's shot was just inches away from victory! He was so close, but as the saying goes, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

For some attendees, the Michigan Golf Show is all about the free swag and giveaways. This lucky listener came to rock with WCSX and represent the Big Jim Morning Show with his very own Boot Check Sticker. BOOT CHECK!
