The Idea Of Hey Screamin Try This

I shared a podcast, The Poncho and Cisco In the Afternoon podcast. A funny podcast to get friends and family through the lockdown times here in Michigan. Joe and I did funny skits to pass the time and most to make people laugh.

I had the idea for folks in the audience to submit ideas for me to try products we saw online. Or people could challenge me to any task except for skydiving. Some tasks had me as a short-order chef to making a hit record at a local record producer's recording studio.

Watch For  Special Guest Co-Hosts

For Hey Screamin Try This, I have the pleasure to include some of my co-workers from WCSX. From the on-air talents of Donielle Flynn to behind-the-scenes co-workers including Faryn Branch and the one and only Rev Rob Warman.

And I can't continue without a man if it was not for him. None of the episodes would have ever been filmed and carefully sliced and diced and edited without the expertise of William Spurrier.

Ric Flair’s Wooooo! Energy Drinks

“‘Wooooo!’ is more than Ric Flair’s iconic catchphrase—it is synonymous with celebration. It symbolizes energy, excitement, and achievement. It transcended wrestling and is now a part of pop culture,” A six-pack of the energy drink is available for $30 for those 18 and older. I think Ric Flair’s Wooooo! Energy Drinks are better left in the can and used as memorabilia.  The disclaimer is pretty intense.

Macomb County Famous Eddie’s Drive In

Eddie’s Drive-In owner Sharyl Collins’s idea was to have me on roller skates for an afternoon. Let’s film an episode of, Hey Screamin’ Try This!  I came prepared with my Eddie’s Drive-in t-shirt and slacks. My worn-torn Riedell roller skates are the same skates I used in the 80s. The best part is after 3 hours of work I retired with a couple of screamin burgers for Will Spurrier and myself. My special thanks to Sharyl Collins and the staff on such a beautiful day. And be a part of Eddie’s Drive-In crew even for just a few fun hours. Enjoy  Hey Screamin Try This Episode With Macomb County Famous Eddies Drive-In

RUSH Beer

Rush has released a new Golden Ale beer. I guess they figured after 4 Platinum albums, 3 multi-Platinum albums, and entering the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013, what better thing to do than make some beer for us… Thus we give you the Rush Beer – “Hey Screamin’ Try This” latest episode.

Donielle Flynn let Screamin know she had a can of RUSH Golden Ale dropped off from a WCSX listener.  Brilliant, Eh? The beer was at room temperature, but being able to sample beer at work was definitely a win. We hope you enjoy our video as much as we enjoyed the beverage.

Unbelievable Cucumber Flavored Chips

Shout out to Ryan Logan from WCSX Big Jim’s House Morning Show for this challenge. Lay’s Potato chips cucumber flavor. My first thought would be oh my goodness are you kidding? A cucumber flavor chip is the last thing I would think of when it comes to flavors. I understand now why they are not available in the United States.

Grandpa’s Ashes Supplement

Of all the episodes of, “Hey Screamin’ Try This,” Grandpas Ashes takes the cake of the strangest.  Grandpa’s Ashes was brought to my attention by WCSX’s Donielle Flynn’s wonderful daughter. It’s a line of products to give you energy and give an extra boost to those gamers who need to stay alert and focused while playing their favorite video games.

Sweet Carolina Reaper Cheetos!

Hey, Screamin Try This Sweet Carolina Reaper Cheetos!

I never tried the one-chip challenge, so I am still alive to tell this next story. Hey, Screamin Try This episode deals with the heat. Cheetos brand wants you to enjoy the sweet, spicy flavor in CHEETOS FLAMIN’ HOT Sweet Carolina Reaper Flavored Snacks. They’re made for people who enjoy kicking their heat level up a few notches when snackin’. CHEETOS FLAMIN’ HOT Sweet Carolina Reaper is packed full of flavor.

Freeze Dried Crunchy Worms

Welcome to the latest episode of, “Hey Screamin‘, Try… Freeze Dried Crunchy Worms.” Before we go any further… know that no worms were harmed in the making of this segment. They are gummy worm candies. To make you feel patriotic, they are made right here in the USA. The company is called SOW GOOD Candy—makers of freeze-dried crunchy worms. “Satisfy your sweet tooth in fewer bites. Hyper dried, Hyper crunchy, Hyper flavorful.”

“Hey Screamin’ Try This” RUSH Mustard"

“Hey, Screamin’ Try This” RUSH Mustard episode just made sense… You have to try the beer and mustard of a band you have listened to for decades.  Their last tour was in 2015, followed by an announcement that the band had lost their drummer and friend, Neil Peart in 2020. Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson started their own brand of beer, RUSH Golden Ale. Now they’ve started something new, RUSH Mustard.

Detroit’s Black Cherry Vernors Float

Michigan’s Favorite Black Cherry Vernors Is Back For A Limited Time. After a long hiatus, Dr. Pepper/7Up company has decided to re-introduce a new flavor. Black Cherry Vernors has hit store shelves

Hey Screamin Try This – Peep Episode

I have been a Pepsi fan. I even liked Crystal Pepsi when it came out. The first and the second time for Crystal Pepsi, Pepsi Zero, Nitro Pepsi, Pepsi, Mango, Pepsi Wild Cherry, Pepsi Vanilla, Pepsi Cherry Vanilla, Pepsi Pineapple, Pepsi Blue, Real Cane Sugar Pepsi, and Pepsi Fire.

This is indeed the toughest challenge to date. Peeps Flavored Pepsi Neither Donielle or Myself have ever tried this product before. The limited edition also. This will be one for the record books as well is the first episode I’m a little queasy about because Donielle Flynn throws an extra wrench in the episode at the last minute with Peeps Hot Tamales Cinnamon Flavored Marshmallow Chicks

And now ask yourself, what could possibly go wrong or right with trying a whole lot of Peeps? Enjoy!

Hey Screamin Try This – Bacon Lettuce And Tomato Flavored Chips

This Episode of Hey Screamin Try This is Lay’s Potato Chips Summer series flavor BLT. Yes, bacon, lettuce, and tomato chips. This will be my first attempt at trying this flavor. Lay’s has released this limited chip four times already. The last time was in 2017 for a while and then disappeared again until now. Each chip combines the tastes of crispy bacon, lettuce, and a sliver of tomato. It’s a whole meal in a chip.

The Popping Fruit Jelly TikTok Challenge?

Fruix Popping fruit Jellies have gone viral on the popular social media platform. Guess the challenge is to bite into the jelly-filled packet to see if it squirts all over. That’s the challenge on TikTok. Some of the videos are fun and crazy. Some I have seen squirt on the camera. There are hours of YouTube videos to keep you busy watching for months. I’m just happy the jelly-filled packets are not tide pods that were a trend a year or so ago.
