Haunted Michigan Asylum Opening as Immersive Halloween Horror Experience
Do you believe in haunted houses? How about a haunted asylum?
Westland, Michigan’s Eloise Asylum will open on Oct. 1, offering more than 30,000 square feet of “high-tech horror,” according to the asylum, and an “immersive horror experience unlike any other.”
Even better, Alice Cooper will be there for the ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the asylum. The ribbon-cutting will take place on Thursday (Sept. 23) at 2 p.m. Find more information on that via WCSX here.
“She awakens, and you’re invited,” Eloise Asylum states. “Visit Eloise this fall and witness the FUTURE of FEAR!”
This abandoned Michigan asylum has long said to be haunted. Now, it’s becoming a full-fledged Halloween attraction. The asylum features two haunted walk-throughs and employs Cold Spark Pyrotechnic Simulators. The simulators are extremely rare, according to the asylum.
“This new technology produces a cold spark that is safe, odorless and emits a low smoke output while still delivering a shockingly entertaining display,” they write in a statement.
The haunted asylum will also offer Advanced Projection Mapping Technologies, the same kind utilized at Disney World and Universal Studios. For information and tickets, go here.
