Two Spartan Football Players Players Are Leaving Early
Michigan State has one of the hottest football teams in the country, and that should make recruiting a bit easier for Mel Tucker. Already, we have former Wisconsin running back Jalen Berger and former UNLV linebacker Jacoby Windmon both committing to the Green and White for 2022. Welcome to the family, guys!
However, two MSU players recently put their names into the transfer portal: freshman wide receiver Ricky White and senior defensive back C.J. Hayes.
White has been on the Spartan roster all fall, but he hasn’t really been involved with football activities since August, so it’s not a big surprise. Last year, when he was a “true freshman,” he had a great game against the Wolverines and scored a touchdown. He didn’t play in the last three games of 2020 due to injury.
Hayes has been with the Spartans for five seasons and was brought on by Mark Dantonio in the 2017 recruiting class. Since he’s a graduate of Michigan State, he’ll be designated a “grad transfer” at his new school.
