Michigan Walmart Stores Received Multiple Bomb Threats Today
A number of Walmart bomb threats were made in Michigan on Monday (Feb. 6), and according to officials, they are likely linked.
According to Oakland County officials, two bomb threats were made to two Oakland County Walmart stores and one in Wayne County on Monday. According to NBC’s WOOD in Grand Rapids, a bomb threat was also made towards a Walmart in Coldwater.
As Oakland County officials report, Walmart stores in Rochester Hills and White Lake Township got threatening phone calls from a man saying hew as going to blow up the store unless a cash ransom was paid. Officials add that a similar threat was also made to a Walmart in Canton Township.
Both Oakland County stores were evacuated. According to officials, no explosives were found at the Rochester Hills Walmart off South Adams Road or the White Lake Township Walmart off Highland Road.
