Jared Goff Responds to Ryan Fitzpatrick’s Insulting Comment
We’re all adults here, right? So, why do people have to make negative comments about others? Haven’t we grown up? Apparently not, as certain “adults” have to make unpleasant comments about others in the NFL world. Now, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has responded to Ryan Fitzpatrick’s insulting comment, and here’s the scoop.
The Detroit Lions are going strong, as the team has won 11 of their last 14 games. They won last Thursday night, beating the Green Bay Packers 34-20 at Lambeau Field. Goff was impressive, as always. He even clocked one touchdown.
However, before the game started, former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick called Goff a “poor man’s Matt Ryan” during the Amazon Prime broadcast. So, Goff went out there and proved him wrong. After the game, Goff even responded to Fitzpatrick for the comment.
Jared Goff Responds to Ryan Fitzpatrick’s Insulting Comment
“Hope it’s up to your standards,” Goff said to Fitzpatrick on the show. Then Goff added, laughing, “I didn’t know I was a poor man’s anything.” It’s pretty cool that this happened right in front of Fitzpatrick’s face. It’s a lot easier to talk smack when the person you’re talking about isn’t sitting next to you, right, Fitzpatrick?
Hopefully Goff didn’t take the comment too seriously. I mean, these things happen all the time. Sports commentators have to say crazy stuff, and then people will be more likely to watch them or follow them on social media. It is what it is. But, Goff has a great comeback to Fitzpatrick’s little dig.
Detroit Lions: 10 Totally Hilarious Things Dan Campbell Has Said
I’m drinking that blue Kool-Aid. The new season of “The Squad with Anne Erickson” is officially here, and we have some great people booked. The show has me chatting with NFL reporters, and it’s always an insightful listen. Moreover, we’re going to have a lot to talk about for the coming season. Larry Lage of the AP recently joined me on “The Squad” to talk about the current Lions team, early Super Bowl picks, why the Lions may be the new champions, Dan Campbell, Jared Goff and much more. Listen here.
