Who’s Favored to Win the Rose Bowl: Michigan or Alabama?
The Michigan Wolverines have snagged the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff and will go up against the famed Alabama in the Rose Bowl semifinal. Hey, I’m a Spartan, but I’m down to watch this game. I mean, who would give up the chance to root against Nick Saban? All joking aside, Saban is a legend, and he’s possibly the best college football head coach of all time. That’s all fine and dandy, but it would be pretty cool to see a Michigan team beat him in the Rose Bowl. So, for one day, I’m going to say, “Go Wolverines.” Well, who’s favored to win the Rose Bowl: Michigan or Alabama?
Let’s get to the specifics of the game first. The semifinal game will take place on Jan. 1, 2024, in Pasadena, California. The Michigan vs. Alabama matchup will begin at 5 p.m. on New Year’s Day. Meanwhile, the other semifinal game will see No. 2 Washington taking on No. 3 Texas and take place that evening. Finally, the College Football Playoff title game will take place Jan. 8 in Houston, Texas.
The Wolverines finished their regular season 13-0 for the second time in a row with a victory over Iowa in the Big Ten Championship Game last weekend. The win also marked the team’s third year in a row winning the conference title. It’s safe to say the Wolverines are back on top. Meanwhile, Alabama entered the playoffs thanks to a victory over Georgia in the SEC title game.
Who’s Favored to Win the Rose Bowl?
It’s so weird to think of Alabama as an underdog. But, they’re actually the underdog in the Rose Bowl. Michigan opened as 2-point favorites over Alabama on Sunday (Dec. 3) at ESPN BET.
