Michigan: What Is Our Favorite Competition Show?
Competition programs have been part of classic television programming for many years. However, the reality show takeover of the past 20 years has certainly led to a more innovative selection of head-to-head battles for viewers to enjoy. The Loupe recently detailed the favorite competition TV show in every state, and in Michigan, the choice is all about flaunting your unique skills.
“From singing sensations to culinary masterpieces and mesmerizing dance performances, competition shows have become a beloved part of our cultural landscape,” The Loupe says.
America’s Got Talent Is The Michigan Competition TV Show Winner
Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel have been spotlighting entertainers since 2006. Part of the appeal of America’s Got Talent over 15 seasons has been to change certain spots on the judge desk every few years. The fun here is that they all come from all different musical genres. For example, David Hasselhoff and Mel B have also appeared as judges on the show.
In order to compile this report, The Loupe analyzed Google Trends and search data from 2004 to the present. The results found that people love popular series such as America’s Got Talent, Shark Tank, and The Masked Singer. The Voice claimed the honor of being the competition show that audiences love the most. Six states had this as their choice. However, American Idol is still going strong with their 22nd season. It’s the second favorite competition show according to this ranking.
However, Iowa, Idaho, and South Carolina all agree with Michigan, and seemingly still love this talent competition.
During the season 18 finale last September, it was revealed that America’s Got Talent would, in fact, return for season 19. It will air during its typical summer months, post-Memorial Day. Terry Crews is the current host. He will be joined by the same judges panel of Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and actress Sofía Vergara.
Dog act Adrian Stoica and Hurricane won last year’s season of America’s Got Talent. It was the second time a dog-related performer had won the competition show in its history.
