I saw this on Reddit and I thought it was genius. Someone took the four main characters of The Office cast and posted them for all 13 versions around the globe.

I knew that The Office cast, here, in the U.S.A. was patterned after the original UK version created by Ricky Gervais. I did not know that there were 11 more versions of The Office around the world.

The pictures cover the U.S.A. and UK versions of  The Office cast as well as Germany, France, Canada, Chile, Israel, Sweden, Czech Republic, Finland, India, Poland, and Saudi Arabia. Talk about a genius premise for a show. It's adaptable to specific cultures, but the storylines are already there. It's like buying a franchise.

Did you know that our version of the show lasted a lot longer than the British original? The original ran two seasons for a total of 14 episodes in the UK. Its American counterpart ran 9 seasons and filmed 201 episodes. Screenrant.com has an entire deep-dive into why one ran longer than the other.

YouTube has a side-by-side comparison video of the US and UK, but warning: it's not easy to listen to since both conversations are happening at once.

I've loved the show since it first aired. I tried watching the original. I heard the UK original with Ricky Gervais was much more cheeky than our USA version.

It sounds crazy, but keeping up with the English accent was tough. I had a hard time with their dialect. Plus some things went over my head because of the jokes being very specific to UK culture.

Scroll on to check out some cool items the internet has to offer for all of us Office fans.
