Michigan’s 94-Year-Old Daredevil Hits 150 MPH in Ferrari
How do you not love this story? Donna Maddox is a 94-year-old Novi resident, and the folks at Waltonwood Twelve Oaks Retirement Center have created an “Xtreme Xperience” program for folks to fulfill their lifelong dreams. For Donna, it’s going fast.
Hitting 150 in Ferrari – 94 year old Michigan Bad Ass
Last month Donna wound up at Michigan International Speedway and did a ride along program in a Ferrari (with a professional driver) that got her up to 150mph. Donna’s not afraid of going fast – She’s previously driven her own car, a Lincoln, at over 115 mph (on their way to Dayton…traveling down I-75) and spent her younger years hiking mountains and exploring caves. What a cool woman.
Find Your Fuel – Daily Motivation
Donna is amazing, she did an interview where she said “My mother used to say I came into this world running. If you’re alive, then live.” Love that mindset.
If you’re alive, then live.
Other notes from the interview:
Donna’s Future Adventures
– Donna plans to go on a hot air balloon ride and a motorcycle ride, the latter being a nostalgic activity she used to enjoy with her brother.
– Despite the thrilling nature of these adventures, Donna shows no fear. She humorously mentions that while her kids think she’s afraid of heights, she’s more concerned about the temptation to jump!
Skydiving in the Future?
– Donna also wants to try **skydiving**, pending a doctor’s approval. This reveals her unrelenting drive to experience as much as she can, even at 94.
Reactions and Family Response
– Both residents and Donna’s family were thrilled about her Ferrari adventure. Her son even joked that she had always driven fast, including when she picked them up from school.
