Detroit Lions Safety Tracy Walker Likely Out for the Season with a Torn Achilles
Following injury during Sunday’s (Sept. 25) Minnesota Vikings game, it’s being reported that the Detroit Lions have lost safety Tracy Walker for the rest of the 2022 NFL season.
Monday morning (Sept. 26), the NFL Network is reporting that the Lions think the longstanding defensive back has suffered a torn Achilles. The Lions confirmed the news in a Facebook post Monday afternoon.
“We’ll know more in the morning. It doesn’t look real good, but, obviously, it’s the ankle area,” head coach Dan Campbell told reporters during a press conference after the Lions’ 28-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on the road. “Possibly it could be the Achilles. We’ll see. We’ll know more tomorrow.”
