Michigan is having a winning season, as the Wolverines continue to be undefeated. The success has brought back speculation that Jim Harbaugh might jump ship to the NFL next season.
On Sunday (Dec. 4), NFL.com reported that a hanful of NFL teams were looking to see if Harbaugh might be a good fit for the pro game. The speculation comes one year after Harbaugh seriously entertained the idea of going to the NFL following Harbaugh’s first conference title in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
But, Harbaugh is already squelching the rumors. A tweet sent out from ESPN’s Tom VanHaaren following the Wolverine’s Big Ten victory last weekend states, “Jim Harbaugh was asked about reports he was being vetted for NFL jobs. Harbaugh said he’ll be back enthusiastically coaching Michigan in 2023.” It sounds like this case is closed- for now.
