Michigan Men Jump Off Burning Boat Seconds Before It Explodes: Video
People love to enjoy a good boat ride in Michigan. But, you have to be careful. Now, there’s a new, crazy video making the rounds. It shows two people jumping off their burning boat seconds before it exploded. A nearby couple actually told them to get off the burning boat, so they really saved their lives.
In the video, you can see the boaters are fighting the high flames and dark smoke. The incident happened Friday on the 21-foot Baja on West Grand Traverse Bay in Michigan. That’s according to shared with ABC 11 shows.
“It’s too late, guys! It’s too late!” nearby boater Nathan Greenwood calls out to the two, who seem like they are unsure what to do. “Get off the boat! It’s gonna blow!” Greenwood yells. His wife also calls out, “Jump out right now!” So, the two boaters took that smart advice and worked their way to the side of the boat. They finally jumped into the water.
Greenwood told ABC 11 that “within three seconds of them jumping off of the boat, it exploded.” He also said that it was just luck that he and his wife happened to be there to yell at the boaters and tell them what to do. They also picked the boaters up out of the water. Greenwood added that if the boaters didn’t jump off the boat, they would either pass out from the smoke or get burned alive. Greenwood wanted to share the video of the incident, because he wanted other people in a similar situation will know how to react. Watch footage of the incident below, via ABC 11. There’s no word on whether either of the boaters were injured. But, there’s been no mention of either of the boaters having injuries, so that’s good. I’m so glad to hear that everything turned out okay, or as well as possible.
