Detroit Lions vs. Los Angeles Rams Predictions: Who Will Win?
The moment is here. Are you ready for the biggest game of the Wild Card weekend? Of course you are. The Detroit Lions vs. Los Angeles Rams game is the most hyped-up game of the weekend. People from all over the country have been reaching out to me, saying how pumped they are to watch. So, what are the Detroit Lions vs. Los Angeles Rams predictions, and who will win?
The L.A. Rams are coming to Detroit to take on the Lions at Ford Field on Sunday (Jan. 14). The game, of course, mark former Lions and current L.A. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford’s return to Ford Field. The game will be on Sunday night at 8:15 p.m. Most odds have the Lions up by 3.5 points, so basically because of the home field advantage. That said, it looks like it will be a close game.
Lorenzo Reyes of USA Today has the Rams at 24 and the Lions at 21. “Matthew Stafford finished the regular season strong, while Detroit’s offense has slowed some,” he says. “And the Rams, despite having a very young core on defense, can still generate pressure through the middle of the line, thanks to, yes, Aaron Donald, but also Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate Kobie Turner.” However, Tyler Dragon of USA Today has a better predictions for Detroit: Lions 27, Rams 23. “Detroit fans are starving for some playoff success,” Dragon says. “There’s going to be a party in Motown if they win.”
Jeremy Reisman of Pride of Detroit is a regular on my podcast, “The Squad with Anne Erickson.” He says, “This game will truly be a toss-up, but with an extremely rowdy Detroit crowd, it pushes my confidence over the top. Lions 30, Rams 28.”
My prediction is Lions 24, Rams 21. I think this will be a very close game, but if the Lions are healthy enough, there’s no reason why we can’t and won’t win this game. I hope the power stays on so I can watch all the NFL Wild Card games.
