How DId He Walk Away From This?
It goes without saying that Formula One racing is incredibly dangerous. The accident with Zhou Guanyu could’ve been MUCH worse. The safety measures in place probably saved his life (Halo device and roll hoop on top of car). Scroll down to see the photo of his car after it caught in between the catch fence and the barrier. Thank god there was no fire…
Today was a reminder that F1 remains a high-speed, high-risk sport that is always right on the edge.

We are so thankful to the advances in safety that mean both Zhou Guanyu and Alex Albon are safe and well. pic.twitter.com/BJ8PPDG2av
They need to make the fence higher, my god glad nobody was hurt, Marshalls and fans #BritishGP #F1 https://t.co/rSGCt3OnP8

Absolutely mind blowing how speed and weight can perform such transfers of energy. The way it just rolled over the wide tire barrier was incredible. Thank goodness for the Halo and the secondary fence. https://t.co/Id02fu47vx
