Michigan Plow Tracker: Keep This Map Handy All Season
Okay, so we didn’t get the huge amounts of snow that they were predicting, at least not in much of Michigan. Of course, the west side of the state is a different story, as they are getting pummeled, but they’re used to the lake-effect snow.
Even if we don’t have two feet of snow, with all the wind, there is lots of blowing snow. If you are waiting for your local road to be plowed, here’s a handy Michigan Plow Tracker. Keep this with you all season, so you can check on it whenever there is a large storm.
The Michigan Department of Transportation’s MiDrive map offers lots of details about Michigan roadways, including accident locations, traffic speeds and where the plowing friends are currently located.
Just click on this link, and in the upper left hand part of the map, click the truck icon. Then, you’ll see little truck icons pop up all over the map, telling you where the plows are currently located. Stay warm and safe this season. I don’t know about you, but I’m already in the mood for spring.
