“I remember him working on that on the piano in our communal apartment in Boston, transposing the keyboard to guitar, just waiting for the place in the song to turn the amps up, ‘cause I didn’t really like the idea of doing a ballad. But I didn’t really didn’t understand the full impact of that piece of music. To this very day, I don’t understand the impact that this is having on other people.”
