As Halloween approaches, the excitement for haunted attractions is growing. Each attraction offers something special that keeps Halloween enthusiasts coming back. Starting on Friday, September 22, for the fourth year, a Michigan forest is set to transform into a glowing Halloween spectacle.
Glenlore Trails’ illuminated haunted forest can be found at 3860 Newton Road in Commerce Township, within the Multi Lakes Conservation Association. This family-friendly experience intentionally excludes jump scares, offering a sensory-rich one-mile walk through the woods. The duration of the trail depends on your walking pace but typically takes about an hour to complete.
An Immersive Halloween attraction featuring a “CarnEvil” theme.
Every year, Glenlore Trails adopts a new theme, and for this year, they’ve chosen “CarnEvil” as their theme. Along the way, you might encounter live performances featuring flow dancers, musicians, and theatrical moments. This year, they have introduced additional interactive elements, including large-format games, as mentioned on their website.
On October 13, guests aged 21 and older have the opportunity to savor a bourbon or wine-tasting experience. Additionally, there are kid craft nights, trick-or-treating activities, and live music on select evenings to entertain visitors of all ages.
Glenlore Trails has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars on Google, based on over 860 reviews. Visitors have shared their positive feedback, with one saying, “We LOVE this experience. So many great details as well as surprises. We have been so many times and it is never the same twice.” Another visitor mentioned, “Sooooo much fun! Interactive activities, beer tent, and food.”
The attraction operates from Thursday to Sunday, starting at dusk and ending at 9:45 p.m. Glenlore Trails is open from September 22 to October 29. Afterward, the forest will undergo a transformation into a Christmas-illuminated trail known as “Aurora,” set to open around Thanksgiving and continue throughout the holiday season.
