Bryan Adams on the inspirations behind the idea and title for “Summer of ’69.” OC:…song title. :24

“That song, truly, I wanted to write the bookend to ‘Night Moves’ and I wanted to write a song that had that conversation that you have with yourself about how to deal with romance and nostalgia when you’re young. So that song really is about that and it was inspired by ‘Night Moves.’ Originally the song was called ‘Those Were the Best Days of My Life,’ but I threw that in for a lark and it stayed in the song and ended up being the song title.”
