Jim Harbaugh Rumors Are Back – Here’s the NFL Team He’s Reportedly Watching
Late last week, news broke that the NCAA is currently investigating the Michigan football program for in-person sign stealing. The latest is that according to reports, Wolverines staff member Connor Stalions purchased tickets to 30 games over the past three years, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel. That means Mr. Harbaugh and the crew could be in big trouble with the NCAA. So, will Harbaugh stick around and do his time, or will he split for the NFL as soon as he has the chance? Now, Jim Harbaugh rumors are back.
The Wolverines are already enjoying an incredible season. Whether or not you give credit to their “easy” season, there’s no denying they’re pulling off wins. So, with several NFL teams that will likely be looking for new head coaches at the end of the season, there’s a good chance Harbaugh will get some phone calls. Which NFL team is he reportedly really watching?
Well, it appears Harbaugh is looking at the possible upcoming Bears opening. During David Kaplan’s latest REKAP Rush Hour video, the Chicago sports personality discussed what he has heard about Harbaugh looking at leaving for the Bears as Matt Eberflus’ replacement as head coach. In the segment, Kaplan said he didn’t see a scenario where Eberflus would return to the Bears. This is true. So, he asked, who would they hire? “What about Jim Harbaugh? I keep hearing he would have an interest. Yes, Jim Harbaugh,” he said.
Well, that’s interesting, but just Jim Harbaugh rumors and speculation right now. Harbaugh has said that he’s not going anywhere. But, considering the NCAA investigation, which keeps getting more and more serious, and the possible chance to finally get that new NFL gig Harbaugh has been wanting, it’s anyone’s bet.
