2 NFL Teams Are Seriously Considering Jim Harbaugh: Report
It’s that time of the year when coaches get the boot and rumors start circulating about who will take their places. It’s also that time when the Jim Harbaugh rumors start to pop. Well, the rumors are back, and they do seem serious this time. Adding to the appeal of going to the NFL is the chance for Harbaugh to jump ship with all these sign stealing allegations. As it turns out, two NFL teams are seriously considering Jim Harbaugh for coach.
Each year, these rumors do surface, so at this point, it’s almost like the story, “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.” But, this time could be different. Here’s the scoop.
The latest on Jim Harbaugh going to the NFL
NFL insider Dianna Russini says the Michigan head coach has been linked to two coaching jobs. This week, she told Colin Cowherd on The Herd that Harbaugh and his name are “respected in league circles.” She added that both the Panthers and the Bears are seriously considering Jim Harbaugh as their main man. As for Carolina, Russini said, “You mentioned that David Tepper makes that firing last week with Frank Reich now out. If you remember, Tepper and Harbaugh had conversations last year. It obviously didn’t pan out, but this was something that they discussed, so that’s a name I’m hearing again.” Russini added that the Chicago Bears are also a team that has had “some conversations” about bringing Harbaugh on, “depending on what decision they make with this coaching staff that is in place and of course what they do with that quarterback situation.”
That’s not all. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler says that Harbaugh’s name is making its rounds in the NFL and that he might actually go this time around. He added that “this might be the year.” Harbaugh’s last brush with the NFL was when he coached the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014. Want more football?
