The Detroit Lions are going prime time, baby! Sure, we lost to the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving, but the Lions are still red-hot, and we’re being flexed. The Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos game has been flexed to Saturday night primetime.
Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos new game details
The Detroit Lions’ Week 15 home game against the Denver Broncos has been flexed to 8:15 p.m. EST on Saturday (Dec. 16) at Ford Field in Detroit. The action will air on the NFL Network. I’m happy for the primetime appearance, but that’s the day I’m going to be at my uncle’s doing our Christmas. I’ll still make it work. Two weeks later, the Lions will be in primetime once again, taking on the Dallas Cowboys at 8:15 p.m. EST in Week 17. That game will air on ESPN/ABC.
The Lions currently lead the NFC North by 2.5 games over Minnesota. They’re also currently the No. 3 seed in the NFC. Not so shabby, right? By the end of the season, the team will have played several games in primetime, adding their big win against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1 and another win against Green Bay in Week 4 on Thursday Night Football. They also beat the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 8 at Ford Field hosting Monday Night Football. For Denver, the team’s to the Motor City will mark their final game of a three-game road trip.
