When you shop local, you’re getting a one-of-a-kind item. Some of my favorite gifts over the years are from local shops, such as unique MSU gear or cool, quirky Christmas ornaments. Yes, I’m cheesy like that! Vinyl is a great gift, too, and you can find it at your local record shop.
If you’re still hoping to stay in this year due to the pandemic, many local stores offer online shopping options and contactless curbside pickup. Small businesses are also short-handed this year, so you might want to check store hours before you shop, as they may be shorter.
