The White Stripes are officially up for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, giving Detroit some love on the nominee list this year.

If they win, of course, the duo will be expected to perform at the Rock Hall ceremony. So, will this lead to a reunion of Jack and Meg White on the stage?

The White Stripes played their final concert on July 31, 2007, while touring behind what would be their final album as a duo, 2007's Icky Thump. At the show, they performed a 20-song, four-encore set at the Southaven, Mississippi venue Snowden Grove.

It's wild to think that a reunion would bring Jack and Meg together for the first time in more than 15 years. Jack, of course, has been very active with his solo music, but Meg has largely stayed out of the spotlight. Here's hoping they get selected and actually reunite for the honors.
