Macomb County’s Rock 4 Tots Just Weeks Away At Freddy’s Bar

The holiday season will be upon us again. Macomb County’s favorite charity, The 16th Annual Rock 4 Tots gang, is ready to raise money and toys so no child goes without a Christmas. They are benefiting the Clinton Township Goodfellows. Rock 4 Tots is the most, "Magical Musical Event of the Year.”

This year’s date is December 2nd & 3rd, 2023 with our great hosts Freddy's Bar and Grill! You can find Freddy's at 40000 Garfield Road in Clinton Township. 50+ local bands and surprise guests on tap for this year’s event. The big news is the addition of 94.7 WCSX to the team with host “screamin” Scott Randall again for the event.

We want this year to be the best year yet! I'm thinking we can make it happen! Check out the lineup and itinerary for both days below! We truly hope you'll come out and support an amazing cause with us.

A total of over 16 "New," local bands grace the stage for the first time including new bands. "Thunderbeard," the Ultimate ZZ Top tribute band. Also, "The Lou Fighters," the best Foo Fighters Tribute band featuring Detroit's own, local musician, Lou Kist.

The hardest part is getting the number of bands down to less than 60 bands over two days. Two days of fun and magic this year. My thanks to Vince Mattias and the staff at Guitar Center who every year donate the use of what we call the “Back Line.” That’s all the drums, guitar, and bass amps so everyone sounds awesome.

Tip of the cap to last year’s sponsors WRIF and Al and Tony at Freddy’s Bar for running sound for 2 days nonstop with no downtime. We're celebrating 15 years strong of this wonderful benefit. I’m so happy with our Rock 4 Tots crew for going over the top last year and smashing all records. Just wait for this year. I guarantee it will be a show that you can be proud of.

Last year’s fundraiser raised a total of $26,386 as well as THOUSANDS of toys for our “No Child Without a Christmas” program. So grateful to everyone who donated raffle items, who attended, and all of the awesome bands that performed.

When he’s not out on the streets, you can find him in his game room, where he collects jukeboxes and classic pinball machines. Screamin also devotes time doing local charities with his, “Screamin Angels”; and Rock 4 Tots charity for 15 years.

“CHIT” has been his local cover band for 10 years all over the Motor City in local bars and has graced the main stage at local festivals warming up for national acts like Cheap Trick, The Guess Who & even Salt & Peppa. Screamin’ is the lead singer and also plays cowbell & lead triangle.

This band Chit! has it all. The group performs power rock hits from the ’70s, ’80s, and '90s with choreographed routines, humor, and musical talent. Each member of the band brings their entertainment value and character. Band members can all sing, play various instruments and switch off during the show to constantly leave something new to hear and see!

Screamin also loves Rescue animals. All his pets always have been from local shelters. The ark at his ranch is down to one rock dog Jett, and two cats Felix & Charlie. One more tuxedo kitten coming soon.

12 Things You Might Not Know About Screamin' Scott

Don't know how and when it all started.  Youth baseball, hockey, everything except golf. Golf started out left until my father took me to get a set of left-handed golf clubs. Looked at the price, turned to me, and said, "Son, you are now right-handed."

You know what they say about people with big shoes right? With big feet come big problems. Accident prone big time. Shoes are like a magnet to tripping on cords and headphones.

Peaked at 6' 0"inches.  Not as tall as Screamin Pops who is 6' 3" inches. Still think someone is getting shorter every year. When visiting the East Side Tavern I always bump my head on the ceiling.

Strange kid. Had a baby set and a total of 3 sets of adult teeth. Had to have major surgery to fix the number of teeth and take out some that were not necessary. I was kind of a 5th-grade freak.

The acoustics are always good. Beatles songs are always the best but it's hard to do harmonies. Led Zeppelin, Van Halen classics.

The idea at the time was brilliant. Get married on your birthday and never have to worry about forgetting that special day. Sounded good at the time and I was sober.

One birthday of mine a sweet friend of mine Jennifer started to gift me rubber ducks. Few years later the total is close to 100 ducks. All shapes, sizes, and styles. They are fun and no they do not come in the shower with me.

Collected pinball games since 1984. Total of 5 pinball games in collection. Always looking for my next Pinball. Wish list is a Bally Strike and Spare game.

I once held a national record for Girl Scout Cookie Eating. This is when I worked in radio in Indiana. Entered a local cookie contest and ate 32 cookies in less than 3 mins. The record held for many years.

Screamin Chili is a labor of love that I make mostly for my co-workers. Have entered many contests and has many ribbons for its flavor and overall taste.

Screamin also loves to cook his almost famous Crack Mac & Cheese, and delicious Screamin Summer Square Snacks.  He loves cooking for people or grilling back at the ranch in Roseville.

Jukeboxes always have fascinated me from a young age. There are 3 in my collection to go with 1,000s of 45' records that are around the house. Germany NSM jukebox, 1959 Wurlitzer, and a 1980 Rock-Ola that use to belong to the Emerald Theater in Mt.Clemens.

Love doing charity work for the local communities. People in need and I like to be a part of the best way possible. Rock 4 Tots is always the first weekend in December. 60 Bands over 2 days. The largest local music charity get-together around.
