Detroit’s 2020 Ford Fireworks to Take Place as Televised-Only Event
The 2020 Ford Fireworks show will go on– however, it will look a bit different than usual.
The show, themed “We Are One Together,” will take place as a televised-only show from 8 to 10 p.m. Aug. 31.
The event will broadcast live on WDIV Local 4 and honor Detroit’s frontline workers and heroes of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The fireworks will go off from an undisclosed location. According to event organizers, the fireworks will not take place downtown or and will not be able to be viewed from the downtown area.
The Ford Fireworks celebrates its 62nd year this year. The event is produced by The Parade Company.
