Busy weekend for the Almighty local band CHIT

CHIT weekend: three shows Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The 2nd farewell tour took on a few different dates to help those in need playing to incredible friends and fans with two shows at the “Diesel Concert Lounge,” in New Baltimore.  Friday’s local band, CHIT show was to say goodbye to a well-known friend who has supported the local rock and roll community. Her name is T.J. and she is relocating to Nashville, TN.

Chit Show #2

The crowd blew us away for a Saturday night. The full show wowed the fans who stayed with us from start to finish after midnight. One part of a CHIT performance is our CHIT social horn. Seen held here in our photo, Screamin’ Scott tells the crowd to lift whatever they are drinking for a toast. Local band, CHIT goes into a special song when Screamin’ blows the horn to signal everyone in the audience to take a drink of cheer. Expect a lot of cheer as the band toasts many times through the night. Thanks to the staff at Kapones Sports Tavern for being such great hosts.

Chit Show #3

Sunday’s CHIT show was a benefit for a close friend of the band Jeff Davey. Jeff had a stroke last year & has had 7 mini strokes since, followed by stroke #8. Jeff has not been able to work. He had high hopes of getting back to his “normal” self. He needs to apply for disability. All funds collected went help with his expenses. We had some of the BEST local Detroit bands playing & there were raffle baskets! CHIT did a tremendous set of classic rock and fun which won the crowd over in no time. Special guests included great musicians Jimmy Bones, Kenny Olson, Jason Hartless Jr, Mike Atkins, Tosha Owens, Mike Letrick, Foster & Lewis and even Detroit’s Halloween band did a special set.

Born in Mt Clemens, Screamin has been a part of the Detroit airwaves for over 29 years with 26 at WRIF and 3 years as a morning show host at Z-Rock. When he’s not out on the streets, you can find him in his game room, where he collects jukeboxes and classic pinball machines. Screamin also devotes time doing local charities with his, "Screamin Angels"; and for 15 years with Rock 4 Tots charity. “CHIT” is his local cover band for 10 years all over the Motor City in local bars and has graced the main stage at local festivals like Arts, Beats & Eats warming up for national acts like Cheap Trick, Guess Who & even Salt & Peppa. Screamin’ is the lead singer and also plays cowbell & lead triangle
