Screamin’s Block Buster Summer Movies To Watch for 2024
It’s been a weird year for movies. The first five months of 2024 have delivered only a few average releases in films like Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Challengers, Dune: Part Two, The Fall Guy, and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
Most were shelled out for junior mints and a larger popcorn. The movies had some positive responses from those who went; several struggled at the box office despite positive reviews.
So Far, The Most Watched Movie Have Streamed At Home
Amazon, Disney, and Warner Bros. are hopeful that the future of some of their biggest films will be premiering this summer. Movies like Mr. & Mrs. Smith have received some of the year’s best reviews.
Other Bets include Lucasfilm unveiling The Acolyte, its first live-action Star Wars show in quite some time, and the second season of House Of The Dragon premiering in June.
What Are Screamin’s Top 3 Summer Block Buster Picks For 2024?
Deadpool & Wolverine (2024)
Wolverine is recovering from his injuries when he crosses paths with the loudmouth Deadpool. They team up to defeat a common enemy.
Deadpool and Wolverine are heading for a billion-dollar box office cash haul when it releases in July. So many rumored cameos are leaking out of Hollywood. Can’t confirm any at this time.
I can confirm that Dafne Keen will not be reprising her role in Marvel’s Deadpool and Wolverine. She has moved on to Star Wars/Disney+’s new series, The Acolyte, but she still admits she loves Ryan and Hugh Jackmen. Wink, wink.
Bad Boys Ride Or Die
Next up is a movie favorite for this Summer, the world’s favorite Bad Boys are back with their iconic mix of edge-of-your seat action and outrageous comedy but this time with a twist: Miami’s finest are now on the run. Will Smith & Martin Lawrence are back in #BadBoys: Ride or Die
Plot: When their former captain is implicated in corruption, two Miami police officers have to work to clear his name. I know it’s a typical good cop—bad guy story, but the visual effects are going to be off the hook.
A Quiet Place (Day One) 2024
A Quiet Place: Day One is an apocalyptic horror film written and directed by Michael Sarnoski, based on a story he conceived with John Krasinski. It serves as a spin-off prequel and the third installment in the A Quiet Place film series
Plot: A woman named Sam must survive an invasion in New York City by bloodthirsty alien creatures with ultrasonic sound hearing. The best part is staying quiet in the theater while the movie is on the big screen. A lot of seat jumps are included in this thriller.
