Doritos And Walmart Have Teamed Up For A Mystery Chip

Doritos has a new chip flavor in May, and it will be exclusively sold at Walmart locations. This new Doritos flavor is a mystery flavor as part of the "Flaming Hot" line of chips.

I know it is hard to keep up with all the new snacks and fast food industry releases nowadays. It seems to me that every other day, something new is being hyped up for a release.

If you are looking for the best impulse buy, it would have to be Doritos, Kroger-exclusive Doritos Late Night Sizzlin’ Cheeseburger chips. They taste just like a cheeseburger fresh off the grill. The smokey flavor was amazing to try. From the first bite, I had to smile because it took me back to a backyard BBQ. I’ve experienced this flavor combination on other brands and chip types, but this one nailed it.

This week, Doritos is rolling out a new mystery-flavored Flamin’ Hot corn chip at Walmart stores nationwide. I don’t know its exact flavor, but we know the chip will be coated in the iconic Flamin’ Hot dusting—made famous by Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.

The mystery will be solved soon, and I hope it will be strange and inviting to try. Maybe twice-baked potatoes or a wasabi surprise? Maybe stuffed green peppers? Or go a bit Greek with a Flaming Fetta Cheese flavor? I can't wait to see what's next.

Doritos, a household name, was introduced in the 1960s by Frito-Lay. It all started at Disneyland, where a restaurant at the park’s Casa de Fritos served up the first version of what we now know as Doritos.

They were made with leftover tortillas and added a tasty seasoning. Over the years, Doritos has become known for its bold flavors, turning the simple snack into a sensation that has captured the taste buds of snack lovers everywhere. My earliest recollection is the Doritos taco-flavored chips from my childhood.

I started out doing one a day, but I quickly worried that it was too much. I was concerned that if my reels were hitting my friends feed every day, it would get old fast. It's hard to resist not immediately making a ton of these because Snapchat has a million filters and there are a billion jokes. I feel like this filter scared people a little bit. Or rather, found it off-putting. I think it's because of the wonky eyeball effect. To be clear, I am not capable of having my eyes simultaneously go in opposite directions. That's a goat thing. Bonus joke: What is a goat’s beard called? A goatee!

The backup chickens had me "cracking" up. These chicken jokes will definitely give you something to bawk about. Bonus (bonus) joke: How do chickens leave buildings? Through the eggs-its.

I wish I'd have had this filter back in 2020. I have never looked at toilet paper the same since the Covid shortages. Bonus joke: Why didn't the toilet paper finish the race? Because it was wiped out.
