How Easy Is it to Get Kicked Out of Metallica
Dave Mustaine got his walking papers on April 11th, 1983. The move was pre-planned as another band member was already hired to be the new Metallica lead guitar player. No chance to defend his actions Dave Mustaine was given his walking papers with no papers. After the news, Dave Mustaine had one hour or less to catch a bus from New York to California. The Band Dave Mustaine co-founded kicked him out of the band for good.

Drinking was a big part of the factor that lead to Dave’s dismissal. Dave gathered clothes and belonging he could carry and off to sunny California. To add insult to injury the rest of the band went on to record their debut album, Kill Em All, and used some of the material that Dave Mustaine wrote.
On the long bus ride home, he did what any musician that got kicked out of a band would do. Start to write new lyrics and come up with a new band name. The new name would be Megadeath but purposely misspelled and shortened to Megadeth.
So how does the Dave Mustaine saga end up? I think Dave did pretty well on his own. As of 2023, Megadeth has sold over 38,000,000 albums worldwide. Earned 5 Platinum albums, and 12 Grammy nominations with 1 win in 2016. Dave Mustaine continues to write and record and tour. Even a battle with cancer didn’t slow him down. Think Dave did pretty well if you ask me. Can’t wait to see what is next for Dave Mustaine. The latest effort is called, The Sick The Dying… And The Dead

6 Best Live Rock Albums of All Time
When it comes down to rock and roll nothing compares to seeing your favorite band live in concert! The aroma of spilled beer mixed with sweat and the roasted cinnamon vendor… The stacks of speakers reaching to the rafters of a venue. That one guy times a hundred smoking an illegal substance and trying not to get busted by security, the luck of the tickets that go on sale competes with pre-sale codes from credit card companies, the date of the show that you pray for doesn’t happen during your favorite sports team or your sister’s wedding day… The Weather in Michigan also playing a part if you choose to go to an outdoor venue or not. Should I do lawn seats or do I spring for pavilion seats up front? The big question is after you picked the show you have to choose who to go with you! The wife or your best friend from high school almost got you kicked out?
Live rock and roll shows will always bring back wonderful memories on so many levels. The technology helped seal the memory forever on vinyl so we can play it back anytime we want. This is a life-changing list of the 6 Best Live Rock Albums of All Time. For some of these live concerts on the list, you might have even been in the audience! However, the list could easily be longer as your favorite band may or may not be on the list… Hope to see all of you at a show this summer with 94.7 WCSX!
