How To Celebrate National Black Cat Day October 27th

Are Black Cats Unlucky?
When it comes to superstitions, one of the oldest is that crossing paths with a black cat will bring bad luck. The dark-colored felines have also been folded into modern Halloween symbols, giving them an unfair reputation for being bad. They’re good luck in many cultures. In Scotland, it’s lucky for a black cat to arrive at your doorstep. In Japan, black cats are thought to help single women find their soulmate. A lot of superstitions out there, but most of the world acknowledges black cats as cute—not creepy.
When Is National Black Cat Day?
National Black Cat Day is on October 27th. This year it falls on a Friday, providing a great time to support and promote the positivity of black cats.
