What time do the concerts start?
The opening acts take the stage at 7:30 p.m. with the headliners beginning around 9 p.m.
What is the process for sponsor seating?
As event sponsors, Andiamo and WCSX have sponsor seating. It is at the sponsor’s discretion to distribute sponsor seats. Interested parties can stay tuned to WCSX for opportunities to win sponsor seats.
Where can guests park?
Convenient parking is available at the GM surface lot at the intersection of St. Antoine and Atwater, adjacent to the GMRENCEN.
How much is parking?
Parking is available for $10 per vehicle. Credit card only will be accepted starting at 5 p.m.
How do guests reserve their seat?
Viewing space will be on a first-come, first-served basis and people can begin arriving to the concerts after 5 p.m. Due to ongoing setup, chairs placed on the plaza before 5 p.m. are at your own risk and might be moved. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. Additionally, boaters on the Detroit River are invited to anchor near the RiverFront and enjoy the concerts from the water.
Is there special seating or a section reserved for veterans? How can someone obtain those tickets?
The Chevrolet Rockin’ on the Riverfront concert series will celebrate those who have served their country with Veterans Row. To participate, veterans can log onto https://wcsx.com/contests/veterans-rock-the-riverfront/#// and fill out the online form. WCSX will select weekly winners to sit in Veterans Row for each concert this summer.
What should I do in case of emergency?
Contact GMRENCEN Security at (313) 667-1111. GMRENCEN Security will coordinate with local authorities and emergency responders.
Are there accommodations for guests with disabilities?
The Chevrolet Rockin’ on the Riverfront concert series has a designated area for guests with disabilities. This section is first-come, first-served. Guests may bring one accompanying person with them into the section. Concert staff will be available to assist with any questions on site during the concert. Guests can contact [email protected] to address any special needs prior to the concert.
Are bathrooms available during the concert?
Portable restrooms are available for guests throughout the concert evening. The restrooms are located on the north end of the plaza, near the MoGo bike station.
How are the concerts openers determined?
WCSX hosts Rockin’ Wars, a battle of the bands type competition for the opening acts. Bands enter the Rockin’ Wars competition and the public votes to help select the winners.
What time will Andiamo start selling beverages on the GM Plaza?
Andiamo will start selling beverages on the GM Plaza at 6 p.m.
What time will concert staff distribute wristbands?
Staff will distribute wristbands at 5:30 p.m.
Can I bring my own cooler full of food and beverages?
No, outside food, beverages and coolers are not permitted. You can purchase food and beverages at Andiamo’s food and beverage stands on the plaza, and the various restaurants inside the GMRENCEN.
What can I bring inside the Chevrolet Rockin’ on the Riverfront general admission area?
Guests are not allowed to bring pets inside the Chevrolet Rockin’ on the Riverfront general admission area and large umbrellas are strongly discouraged. Additionally, guests must always wear shirts and shoes.
What areas are off limits?
The safety and security of all guests is our top priority at the GMRENCEN. Due to the large volume of concert goers, attendees must be clear of the street and surrounding sidewalk while viewing the concert. In case of emergency, that area must remain unobstructed.
Where can I purchase a Chevrolet Rockin’ on the Riverfront t-shirt and how much does it cost?
T-shirts are available for purchase at The GM Company Store located on Level 1, just above the GM Wintergarden for $15 or at their table in the Wintergarden during the concerts.
What is the protocol in the event of inclement weather?
In the event of rain, the concert will be delayed for a specific period of time determined by and at the discretion of event organizers and GMRENCEN Security to ensure a safe and enjoyable concert experience.
