We have waited for this movie for a long time, thankfully we finally have a trailer and a set release date!
It seems like we have heard about this movie coming for years, Bert Kreischer’s story about robbing a train with the Russian Mob put him on the map, now it will put him in the movie theatres.
The movie has been shelfed for over a year because of the situations going on in Russia, but finally it is time to bring “The Machine” to theatres with a release date of May 26th.
Here is the trailer:
The Machine Story
The story goes that when Kreischer was 22 years old, he took a trip to Russia as part of a study abroad program. One night, he and his classmates were out at a bar when they met a group of Russian mobsters. Kreischer, being drunk and naive, bragged about his time as a college wrestler, leading the mobsters to believe that he was tough and fearless.
The mobsters invited Kreischer to join them for a private party, and he accepted, not realizing what he was getting himself into. When he arrived at the party, he found himself surrounded by armed mobsters and a bear chained to the wall. The mobsters demanded that Kreischer prove his toughness by wrestling the bear.
Kreischer was terrified but had no choice but to comply. He managed to tackle the bear and pin it down for a few seconds, and the mobsters cheered. They then declared him “The Machine,” a nickname that would follow him throughout the rest of his trip in Russia.
The story became famous when Kreischer shared it on the comedy circuit, and it has since become a staple of his comedy routine. It is worth noting that the veracity of the story has been questioned, and Kreischer himself has admitted that he embellished some parts of the story for comedic effect. Nonetheless, the story has become a beloved part of Kreischer’s comedic persona and has helped to establish him as one of the most entertaining and outrageous comedians working today.
