It’s Finally Official: ‘Beetlejuice 2’ Is In The Works
Late last year social media was a buzz over some media posts from anonymous sources at CinemaCon which lead to the hint of a sequel to the beloved film, Beetlejuice.
It’s finally official: Beetlejuice 2 is in the works, according to MovieWeb! It’s been announced by Warner Bros. that the long-gestating sequel is in development, though this follows months of rumors that the sequel was finally getting on the right track. Warner Bros. made the announcement during the studio’s panel at CinemaCon, just a sequel is in development. It’s unclear if Michael Keaton will return to the role, though it seems likely, given his blessing in the past. He’s also had no issues in revisiting classic Tim Burton characters as seen by his return as Batman for the upcoming movie The Flash.
Brad Pitt’s production company, Plan B, has joined Warner Bros for the production of the film, and according to Variety, actress Jenna Ortega is reportedly in talks with Tim Burton currently. After months and months of rumors that the movie was on the right track; Warner Bros. announced it’s officially in development at CinemaCon; but sadly, not much was announced beyond the thumbs up that the sequel is in development. It’s still unclear if Michael Keaton will return to the role, He’s also had no issues in revisiting classic Tim Burton characters as seen by his return as Batman for the upcoming movie The Flash.
Here’s what we do know now that we’ve received the news that Beetlejuice 2 is in the works: Director Tim Burton is a go. However, Michael Keaton has said that the Beetlejuice 2 ship may have sailed. So far, fact-checkers be advised that the movie posters for Beetlejuice 2 for the moment are untrue and fan-made. It would be unique to figure out the storyline for a sequel. What do you think it could be? I, personally, am not a fan of sequels. I even think Rocky should have stopped after seven films!
