Are You A Paragraph Texter?
Even if you haven’t heard this term, you’ll know what we’re talking about immediately: Are you a “PARAGRAPH TEXTER”?
It’s when you tend to send long, thought-out texts that get your entire message across. As opposed to “dry texters” who prefer sending quick snippets.
It could be an age thing. Older people send longer texts, and young people send shorter ones. But which texting style is better? It depends on who you ask.
Some think long texts are annoying, because they feel pressured to RESPOND with a long text. Just typing “yeah” seems rude. Others think lots of little texts are more annoying because of the constant DINGS on their phone.
Someone asked a few experts about it, and their main advice is just try to be tolerant of other texting styles. If they’re a paragraph texter, that might just be how their brain works. They want to express ALL their thoughts before they forget.
But paragraph texters should also be mindful that huge blocks of text can make dry texters anxious. So don’t be offended if they respond with a quick one-word answer. They might just be busy, or need to think on it.
