New Michigan Restaurant Will Feature Live Sharks
It’s always exciting when a local restaurant pops up. Who doesn’t love homegrown, real food, right? Now, add to that a new local restaurant with a fish tank that includes real, live sharks. Wow. Just, wow.
I never would have thought of the shark and restaurant combination. But, if you’re looking to add some excitement to dinner, this could do the trick.
The new restaurant is proposed for the the corner of Commerce and Main Street in Milford, Michigan. According to Hometown Life, plans to add to the Milford House restaurant building at 113 E. Commerce were recently submitted to the village.
“Those plans include a 2,080-foot addition to the front of the restaurant, which would wrap around the front of the building near the current outdoor patio,” Hometown Life states. “But the most unique feature will be a 20,000-gallon fish tank that is expected to hold several live sharks as a focal point inside the dining room of the restaurant.”
As for that fish tank, it’s already here. “We already have the tank that’s been brought up. The fish are waiting for us in Key West, Florida,” architect John Stewart told Hometown Life. “It’ll be quite a scene when you see these things.”
Much of the restaurant is planned to be family-friendly. There will also be a wine bar area for a more adult atmosphere. I seriously can’t imagine going out for the night and hitting a bar with live sharks starting at me, but it does sound kind of cool. For more information, go here.
