Who’s Going To Sing The Next James Bond Song?
Who’s going to record the theme to the next James Bond movie?
Over the years there have been many iconic artists selected for the honor. Among them:
- Shirley Bassey – “Goldfinger”
- Paul McCartney – “Live and Let Die”
- Carly Simon – “Nobody Does It Better”
- Duran Duran – “A View to a Kill”
- Tina Turner – “GoldenEye”
- Madonna – “Die Another Day”
- Adele – “Skyfall”
So, it should come as no surprise that bookies in England have listed their favorites for who will sing the next theme song.
William Kadjanyi, political analyst at Star Sports, says, “With the next James Bond film being discussed more and more, it seems increasingly likely that Harry Styles, one of the biggest names in music today, could be the voice we hear in the opening titles of the next Bond film.
“And this is not forgetting Ed Sheeran, whose music has already appeared in the likes of The Hobbit, at 8-to-1 and the ever-popular Lewis Capaldi, following closely behind Styles in the market at 10-to-1.”
Elton John also made the list with the odds at 12-to-1.
Hot Takes:
- Elton John, British musical royalty, is a natural choice and it’s surprising he’s never recorded a Bond theme song.
- Queen+Adam Lambert would also be a good selection. They don’t want to record an album, but a high-profile single is not a bad alternative.
- Who would you like to see record the Bond theme?
