Oscar From The Office Joins Ryan to Talk New Golf Movie
Oh boy was I excited for this interview. I have been a massive fan of the Office since day one, but Oscar Nunez has a new golf movie coming out on Friday. The story itself will leave you speechless and inspired. Oscar joined me earlier this week to talk about the movie and more.
The new movie is called “The Long Game”. The story is about the first golf team of Del Rio High school in del Rio Texas during the 1950’s. For any golf fan this is a must watch, the story alone will leave you in a great mood.
THE STORY: ALL ABOUT GOLF
Like I said, for any golfer this movie is a must watch. It tells us a story that I’m not sure many people knew about or ever heard of. In 1955 a group of Latino High School students are caddies at the very prestigious “whites only” Del Rio country club. Against all odds, the group of students end up building their own golf course in the desert near by. The school superintendent who is also Latino, sees what they are doing and gets them to create the first ever golf team at the school. The story just gets better from there, they went on to win the State Championship against the other schools and country club kids.
like I said, this is a must watch for golf fans and people who love inspiring stories. I didn’t expect much going into it, but came out feeling good and ready to take on what was next.
I welcomed Oscar Nunez earlier this week to talk about the movie and his role. Oscar plays the principle of the the High School who is influenced by the new superintendent.
