Absolute Dominance In The World Of Golf
This golf season has started off with some absolute dominance from two players on two different tours. For golf fans, it is exciting but anyone who is a fan of people dominating things, start paying attention. Let’s get into why this year of professional golf may be the best yet.
ABSOLUTE DOMINACE
There are two names right now that have completely taken over the word of golf and it isn’t even close. On the men’s side its Scottie Scheffler, and one the women’s side it’s Nelly Korda. Both have started out the season with some historic moments. Nelly has won 5 straight tournaments and they haven’t been close, right now she is by far and away the best women’s golfer on the planet. Scottie has won 4 of his last 5 including The Masters. Again, no one is even close to the talent level these two are playing with right now.
Here is a look at their most recent wins.

Do you Love or Hate The Dominance?
I have asked this question a lot of the past couple of weeks and will touch on it more during the Ball Washer Podcast this week. Do you like seeing these two absolutely dominate like this or do you hate it? I have heard people on both ends but honestly, I think it is great. Yes, it may push the causal fan away because it’s the same person winning, but I love to see someone be so good at the craft that they wipe the plate with people. Winning a golf tournament is very hard, so to see these two win a combined 9 times over 10 starts is awesome to me.
COMPARING SCOTTIE TO TIGER:
I personally think and the numbers don’t lie but Scottie has a long long way to go in order to catch Tigers greatest season. Tiger had a lot of great seasons but the absolute dominate one came in 2007, when we saw Tiger win 7 consecutive tournaments. Something Tiger did that Scottie is still looking for and could get this year is multiple majors in a season. The 2000 season for Tiger is what Scottie will start getting compared to. In 2000 Tiger won 9 times and 3 of them were majors.
Honestly, I think it is unfair to compare the two, Tiger did somethings that I don’t think will ever be touched, for example Tiger had to number rank in the world for 280 plus weeks at one point, Scottie is only at 80 weeks. There is still a lot to accomplish for Scottie and I think we should stop comparing him and just enjoy what we are seeing.
