Spotify Tattoos: A Trend I Actually Like
Everyone who listens to the show knows, I love tattoos. I love them so much, I tend to get goofy ones just so I can get a tattoo. There is a new tattoo trend out there that has taken off on TikTok. It’s actually something I can get behind, hell I may get one of my own!
So, there is a new tattoo trend that has started on TikTok. People are getting “Spotify” tattoos. A Spotify tattoo is a tattoo of the Spotify code. Basically a QR type code that Spotify launched in 2017. The code allows you to scan it with your phone and it will immediately start to play the song your favorite song, or any song you have designated for the code. I honestly think this is a really cool concept. I have seen other tattoos like this, for example, I have seen them where you have sound waves tattooed on you. Once you scan them on your phone, it plays whatever the soundwave is. I have seen a lot of people use them for voicemails from late loved ones and so much more.
The Spotify Tattoos are relatively a new practice though. The trend seemed to start a couple of years ago and since then as absolutely taken off on Social Media.
ONE MAIN PROBLEM:
There is one main problem when it comes to some of these Spotify tattoos. Not all of them are working, some people have gotten to code tattooed on them, only to realized when they get home that it doesn’t work. So basically, at that point you just have a random squiggle of lines tattooed on you. Here is a report about these tattoos not working.

Like I said, I love tattoos so I think I would get one of these and see what happens. I wouldn’t get one of my favorite song though. I would get one that scans something funny, it would be a great little party trick. What if you scanned it and Baby Shark or the Elmo song started playing. I am a child, but I think that would be very funny.
Speaking of mixed reviews on a tattoo, Here is the most recent one I got. It is a tattoo celebrating the 2023 Michigan football 15-0 National Champs. I love it, which is honestly all that matters when it comes to a tattoo. You are the one wearing it for the rest of your life.
