The Belle Isle Giant Slide Is Back!
It’s been a while since we were able to talk about the Belle Isle Giant slide. It was shut down last summer after a few attempts of bringing joy to those who rode it. It actually caused more pain than fun, but thankfully they are reopening it and we have all the details.
THE BELLE ISLE GIANT SLIDE IS BACK!
It’s been over a year since the Giant Slide made it’s return to Belle Isle, were hoping this time around it will be open longer. Last time they opened the Giant Slide it was only open for about 2 weeks before being shut down due to safety issues. We all remember hearing the sounds of kids sliding down it and smacking their head.
WHAT IS DIFFERENT
After we saw the Giant Slide was reopening this summer we all had one question, what are they doing to make it safer for those who ride it. After reading about it, it’s clear they are not doing much to make it safer. It seems like they are just adding some more padding to the mat at the bottom of the slide. So, at least you have a lot of padding to fall on after your head gets bashed up!
