Okay, I said it: Wildcard and Detroit Tigers. Detroit is currently 5.5 games out of the MLB wild card spot. It has been a joy to watch our boy overcome games from being behind. Crowds filled the seats, and who could not pass up Arby’s curly fries after the Tigers scored three runs in one game?
Baseball Talking Heads Say 81 Or Bust
Hold on, kids. There’s a lot of baseball yet to play. It has been a few years since we were in this position. Remember the pain we felt when the Red Wings just missed the playoffs by inches? It was heartbreaking.
Something is coming around if you can feel it. We just slammed the White Sox for the third straight. We won in Chicago and didn’t even mind staying up past my bedtime for a late-night win over the Angels, leaving less than 30 games left in the 2024 season.
Tigers Reached 500 For The First Time Since 2016
Combined with a five game winning streak when I wrote this for all of you. The Detroit Tigers hit three homers in a five-batter span to break open a tie game and beat the Los Angeles Angels 6-2 on Tuesday night at Comerica Park.
Detroit Tigers Manager Will Field The Questions On What If?
There is a real possibility that the Tigers will get a Wild Card Birth. Why not start thinking about it? This city has been waiting on this for a while. There are no more talks of fire sales or another build-back year.
I’m amazed how the lack of confidence in the sports-talking bobbleheads shot this all down. Can we just be positive sometimes? It’s not 1984, and we didn’t go 35-5 to start. This team fights for every baseball, every home run, and more.
100% of our own destiny is up to the players against Tampa. We do play Boston as well, and we’re, I think, four back. I feel like if we play well enough to sniff the Royals, we’ll also be able to pass Seattle.
So Fans Dont Be A Debbie Downer
So it’s not a Bless You Boys year. . . . yet. If we play our bases right, there may be a surprise in September.
We used to say, ” Let’s All Get Behind Our Baseball Team. Go Get Em Tigers!”

SANTANA
“Winning,” a song from Santana that almost made it almost all the way to #1 in 1981. Believe it or not, it’s a cover song originally done by Hank Ballard back in 1976 The Album Santana’s Zebop was a very big comeback for the band.
QUEEN
QUEEN’s We Will Rock You / We Are The Champions.” Probably the most favorite when it comes to Rock Anthems. The songs together have been played in just about every sports event and arena around the world. The song that will stand the test of time for evermore.
THE ROLLING STONES
The Rolling Stones from the album, “ Dirty Work.” Kind of a deeper not so recognizable favorite of the Stones catalog. But still a favorite of mine. You might remember the hit, Harlem Shuffle off the same album. The band never toured with this album. My only guess because of Mick Jagger’s solo album out at the same time.
ELTON JOHN
The team of Elton John and Bernie Taupin, from John’s 1983 studio album Too Low for Zero. Bernie wrote the song with Elton in mind. All that Elton went through the years and ruff times and made it. Showed everyone that Elton had never left music and was still standing tall.
J.GEILS BAND
J.Geils Band’s Live performances were something to see. The energy left you in the audience exhausted afterwards.” Just Can’t Stop Me.” from their album, “ Sanctuary ” 1978 was a powerhouse of an album. If there was a concert I wish I could go back and repeat. It would be a J.Geils concert
RUSH
Rush “In Rio” concert filmed at Brazil’s world famous football stadium, the Maracanã, in Rio de Janeiro on 23rd November 2002, the last night of the Vapor Trails tour. The Song, ” One Little Victory.” This one for all the diehard RUSH fans everywhere.
