A King Crab Thief in Roseville
This guy either had a massive craving for King Crab Legs or he’s the new Crab King Pin in town…
Thursday afternoon Roseville police received a call from the local Costco. A man walked in took around 1,100 dollars worth of King Crab Legs and walked right out.
The police say the man entered the Gratiot Costco without showing a membership card, walked over to the crab legs and loaded up his cart. He then walked right out the front door without anyone questioning him.
“We appreciate the public’s help on this,” Berlin said. “With the help of the public, with some photos we have identified the suspect and we are submitting a warrant request to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office as we speak.” Berlin is the deputy chief and said they have seen an uptick in crab theft because of the high prices and high demand.

MY THOUGHTS:
I am sorry but I have a few questions about this. First, why was he allowed in the store without a membership? I remember trying to use my moms one time and it was like going through the airport, I was questioned and ultimately turned away. That was the first thing I thought about when seeing this story, how do you get in!
Second, when he left, how did he not get his cart checked like everyone else does. The receipt checkers at Costco’s are like FBI agents, with their highlighter and sometimes authoritative attitude.
When it comes down to it, there are a lot of questions I have, it makes me think that the greeters at Costco were in on the crab job!
Like I said, I have a lot of questions but I am sure it will be chalked up to a dumb crime.
