Ryan’s Remedies: Cold Water Therapy
I am excited to share my journey though non traditional ways of healing, getting and staying healthy. This is the first of many “Ryan’s Remedies”. I hope you will find these helpful and maybe even pull some healthy habits from them. My first episode is the Ice Bath!
So over the years, I have heard so much about using ice baths for a variety of things including, physical and mental health. After doing a few of them in my guest bathroom, I figured I might as well invest into an ice bath that I can put on my back deck. One of the issues I ran into when doing some research was the price points of these baths. Some of them can get upwards of 20,000 dollars. Luckily I found one perfect for my wallet!
BENEFITS OF COLD THERAPY:
Being truthful, this is not about me judging the product I am using. It is more about finding alternative ways to keep yourself active and feeling good. I played baseball and hockey my whole life. After having a few injuries in baseball that ended my career I turned to surgery and medicine to help. After learning about different recovery methods that didn’t include surgery or prescriptions I knew I would be all in.
The benefits of cold water therapy really are amazing. First, cold water can help with circulation in your body, reducing inflammation and more. It can also do wonders for you mentally. As someone who struggling with anxiety, I have seen a dramatic change in myself after doing ice baths. Cold Water Therapy also is known to release chemicals in your body that are associated with a good mood.
Overall cold water therapy is something I have and will continue to make a normal part of my day. The mental changes have been ground breaking for me and I think it is truly helping me control the moments I could not before.
Thankfully after some time of looking around I found one that is 100 dollars and is perfect for the area I wanted to put it in. I ordered one and now I want to share with you my thoughts and feelings after using it for the first time.
Here is the unboxing video as well and me giving it a try for the very first time.
The Ice Bath I bought is called the Nurecover Portable Ice Bath. The reviews were great and so was the price. Like I said, you can get this one for around 100 dollars, give or take depending on the options you choose.

I will be honest with you, when I first took it out of the box I was a little worried on the size and quality of the product. Once, I filled it with water that all changed. I really loved the ice bath, it is easy to get in and out of and a perfect fit for someone my size.
Again, this is the first of many Ryan’s Remedies. I hope you enjoyed this one, and look forward to hearing more bout your journey in the future!
