John Fogerty Performs CCR Classic with Classroom Instruments on ‘Fallon’
John Fogerty stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to take part in the show’s popular “Classroom Instruments” segment.
Fogerty and his sons, Shane and Tyler, joined Fallon and The Roots for an utterly whimsical rendition of “Lookin’ Out My Back Door.” The entire performance can be viewed below.
Fogerty is having a pretty eventful 2023. He has tour dates in the United States and Europe this year, with his full tour itinerary available at JohnFogerty.com. Additionally, he kicked off 2023 on an incredible note by regaining the rights to his Creedence Clearwater Revival songs.
In January, Billboard reported the singer-songwriter purchased the global publishing rights to the CCR catalog from Concord Records for an undisclosed sum.
Fogerty has been fighting to regain the rights to the CCR songs he wrote for decades. He shared his joy via social media saying in a statement, “As of this January, I own my own songs again. This is something I thought would never be a possibility. After 50 years, I am finally reunited with my songs. I also have a say in where and how my songs are used. Up until this year, that is something I have never been able to do.”
He added, “I am looking forward to touring and celebrating this year! I want to thank Concord Records for helping to make all of this happen. And, I am excited for new ideas and a renewed interest in my music … like a revival.”
