The Day A Raccoon Crashed My Home In Roseville Michigan
May of 2013: The Day A Raccoon Crashed My Home In Roseville Michigan. Had an uninvited guest one morning. Heard a giant crash from my game room. I jumped to my feet to check out what went wrong. Rocky the Raccoon fell through the ceiling creating a huge mess of plaster and insulation everywhere. Then, looking at one of my Pinball games, Rocky decided to take up a new hobby and challenge me to a game. At that moment I tried everything to get Rocky out of the house. Had a side door wide open. The sliding glass door wall to the backyard was open. Nothing seems to phase Rocky to move. Rocky was comfortable on the 1974 Williams Skylab pinball machine. The Racoon has pretty good taste in pinball games.
According to Michigan Wildlife Solutions What to do if a raccoon is in your house?
– Close the room. When a raccoon gets inside your house, close the door of the room without making a noise that can make the raccoon panic.
- – Open all windows and doors.
- – Rescue your pets.
- – Patience is needed.
- – Spread flour.
My Mother had advice that’s folklore but it worked for me when a Rocky Raccoon is in your attic. Get a bunch of Irish Spring soap and cut the bars of soap into shaving and spread them all around the attic and you know something, it worked.
