Meet Wally The Emotional Support Pet Alligator
The Philadelphia Flyers in the National Hockey League had quite the guest this past week. Wally the Alligator. Not just a regular alligator but an emotional support alligator. Wally the Alligator had some problems getting into the Wells Fargo Arena. See, Wally is an emotional support gator, and not a service animal. Thus, he was not allowed into the Phillies baseball game last week but made it to see the Flyers after the hockey team didn’t want to receive bad press. Wally even got to hang with the Flyers mascot,” Gritty.”
Wally The Alligator Is Just Misunderstood
Meet Wally the Alligator! Our cold-blooded friend Wally helps needy people and puts smiles on their faces. Around the area, Wally is somewhat of a global celebrity. Believed to be the world’s only emotional support alligator, was a finalist in the America’s Favorite Pet competition, and even inspired Alligator Loki in the Marvel franchise. Take Alligator Loki, for example. He has horns, hangs out with all the other Lokis, and is green. It makes him a Loki, right?
Trouble First Started At A Baseball Game
Wally wanted to attend a Phillies Baseball game and meet the players earlier this year but was stopped at the meet and greet and wasn’t allowed into the Phillies game. The official ballpark policy on emotional support animals states: “Certified service dogs or service dogs in training for guests with special needs are welcome. All other animals are prohibited.
Howard Eskin took to X, formally known as Twitter, showing Wally on a leash has accumulated over 8,000 likes and almost 3,000 reposts. Wally has since gained a large following on social media. As of Sept. 28, 2023, Wally has 26 thousand followers on his Instagram account and 110.6 thousand followers on TikTok.
Are you kidding me. A #Phillies fan tried to come into game tonight with what they said was a “service animal.” An Alligator! Yes an Alligator. Thing’s I’ve never seen. This is it. @SportsRadioWIP pic.twitter.com/H7A0FM0IYC

Emotional Support Animals
Wally isn’t the only unique emotional support animal, however. We are all likely familiar with dogs as emotional support animals. That’s definitely the most popular. Although, there are many other animals who have worked or do currently serve as emotional support animals. According to Best Life Online, a woman in Wisconsin used a kangaroo as her emotional support animal. Others have used pigs, snakes, and even turkeys as their emotional support animal. It can be something unique to you.
